Google has rolled out the new ‘Post’ for all small businesses that use the Google My Business platform. Earlier, the GMB platform was available to a limited number of politicians and small businesses. It has announced the rollout late afternoon of 22nd June, though the company moved Google Posts into GMB a few weeks ago. Users can access it both on the desktop and the GMB Android and iOS apps.
The GMB was first launched in 2016 under the name “candidate cards”, but these were only available for politicians to post contents and show relevant political search queries. But slowly, it was expanded to some small businesses until the recent large-scale launch to users.
Users looking to access it should go to GMB account and click on “Posts” located on the left-side menu in the Google business listing.

In this new Google post, you will be given many options for uploading an image, text length (up to 300 words), event title (mentioning start and end dates and times) while writing a post. Further, you can add call-to-action button like ‘Learn more’, ‘Reserve’, ‘Sign Up’, ‘Buy’, and ‘Get offer’. The content will be shown in the Google search and map result. Concisely, the new Google post will power businesses to publish their contents based on their goals.
