Google ceases AdWords and DoubleClick Brands for Simplification

To streamlines its offerings, Google announced that it is ceasing the AdWords and DoubleClick brands after 18 and 22 years respectively. Google advertising products are being given new names and reorganised to reflect their capabilities. The reason for rebranding is to simplify advertising offerings and offers new solutions.

From now onwards, the primary brands will be:

  • Google AdWords is now Google Ads
  • DoubleClick and Google Analytics 360 suite will be Google Marketing Platform.
  • Good Ad Manager for Publisher and DoubleClick Ad Exchange

More updates from the search engine giant – Google are expected in the month of July 2018.
