Google to Force Android Phone Makers for Constant Security Update
According to David Kleidermacher, Head of Android Platform Security, Google will force Android phone makers to issue regular security updates for users. It will be a part of the contract that Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) must sign.
The move was announced after a lot of awful hacking incidents came in the news. Google issue the update quickly but OEMs like Motorola, Samsung, etc. take longer time. After signing the contract, it will be an obligation for OEMs to issue security updates. Hence, it will bring updates to more Android devices.
