Facebook is introducing a new series of templates to make it convenient for marketers to create custom stories ads across social platforms such as Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
These new templates substitute the earlier default templates that now allow marketers to take any digital asset and render it as a full screen or a vertical ad. In layman’s term, you can now reach your targeted audience on stories without investing too much time and effort into designing a new ad. When designing a creative for any digital campaign, it is recommended creating unique assets for different placements when possible. However, being marketers and businessmen or businesswomen, it will not always be possible to create specific assets for each placement due to finite resources and time. To help overcome that hurdle, it is made easier for businesses of any size to create a fullscreen vertical stories placement.
Customizable story templates make it possible for marketers to turn existing assets into story ads with minimal effort. All you have to do is upload the existing asset to Ads Manager and choose from a variety of layouts. Customize background colours and add text if needed and finally select the cropping option. With the help of these tools, marketers can now produce creative(s) that feels natural to the stories environment.
Initial experiments with Instagram stories showed that using customizable templates instead of using the default templates may lead to a better campaign performance as it allows marketers to tailor an asset for their specific brand and campaigns.
